Our Letters Project involves volunteering club members to create a character within an organised world.
They can be whoever they want to be, and that character will have relations with some of the characters played by other club members! You(r character) sends letters of any kind, about any topic, to these other characters, who in turn will respond to you. And so on. You can even send letters to multiple characters if you wish!
The goal of this project is to collect all of these letters and build a novel with them, exploring the intricacies of relationships between the people in the evolving world our club has built!

Our World
The world this takes place in is, of course, one of fantasy. As a club, we have created it's shape, its approximate climate, and colonies of different kinds of creatures.. However, we happily welcome new and fun ideas, so absolutely feel free to share it and we can do our best to incorporate it in!

Our Characters (so far)
Silkeh, a siren in the south-west colony. She's the Commander of the Queen's body guard, but there is a reason the northern colony speaks of the Exiled One.

Haraneeth, a light elf with one or two ideas above his station, yet the ruthless willingness that comes as being one of his kind, that could either take back the continent stolen from them, or wound up with his head on a pike.

Pline X, a sly merchant living in the central archipelago. He who works in “acquisition” and selling of rare and magical artefacts, and is even willing to take commissions, for the right price of course.

NameTBD, a harpy that's flown from the nest, deciding to become a young traveller doing odd jobs. Has a strange watch hung around his neck, and no one knows quite where he got it from... or why he left.

Sabehim, a human mercenary who’ll support any cause, in the pursuit of an opportunity to inflict suffering. Be it psychological, physical, or on the front of an all out war, he's an army within one body.
Our System
Once you create your character, you can request to form an interaction with another character. If that charcater agrees, the Project Manager will create a private Google document with the two of you in it. Then, all that's left to do is get writing!

The contents of your letter can be about anything at all! Maybe you're updating your friend of family member, maybe you're asking to make a deal, maybe its a threat - the point is that whatever you write creates the relationship your characters share!

Try and write as much as you can in your letters to each other. The more you give someone to work with, the better their responses, and the more you both get out of the whole experience. Add side notes, jokes, threats. Ask questions or make random coments about anything, including the weather.

Still, there should be purpose to your letters. Theoretically we should be able to string them together and create a timeline of events. We should be able to see you moving around the map, tensions rising and resolving, plots made and unexpected twists. Friendships blossoming, and enemies made.

Pace is also up to you and your partner. You can notify each other privately that you have sent a letter, or you can check the document yourself periodically to see if the other person has responded.

Most importantly, have fun! That's the whole point of this adventure.
